Ben Challum

Ben Challum is a Munro which lies just before you reach Tyndrum. The start of the route is at Kirkton farm which takes you past the old ruins of St Fillan’s Priory. From there, go over the railway line before taking to the open hills. It was a clear day so the route up the flank of Ben Challum was easily visible. There was still a lot of snow lying however the sun had warmed it up enough for it to walk up. The only tricky section was the ridge from Ben Challum’s south top at 997m (3270ft) to its main summit at 1025m (3363ft).
