Munro: Ben Starav Height: 1078m / 3557ft OS Map: 50 Ben Starav is situated a ten mile drive down Glen Etive, at Glencoe and its impressive ridge can be seen easily from the car park. After a boggy start on the lower ground things progressed quicker once I was on the ridge of the Munro. It can still be a bit of a slog though as you start pretty much at sea level so it took over a couple of hours before the top was in sight. The track narrows considerably near the summit and the last hundred metres were very rocky with a little bit of scrambling needed in places but the view from the top was more than enough reward for all the effort.
